Resurgam Sports Fans

I created the instagram account to have a place to organize watch parties and places to watch women's football after have major fear of missing out during the Lionesses incredible European Championship win last summer. I wanted to let others like me know there are other women wanting to watch women's soccer.

I chose resurgam for two reasons. First, it is the motto of Portland, ME where I am currently located. The second is the meaning of the word. Resurgam means to rise again or we will rise again. Anyone familiar with womens football in England will know that it was equally as popular as the mens game in the 1910s up until 1921 when the FA banned women from playing. 

Resurgam is about the women's game rising and growing. For the hard work to end the ban in the UK and getting title 9 to pass in the US. The work isn't over but together, we will rise again.

Resurgam App and Website

I am working on building a website with the hopes of it eventually being an app. It will be a one stop shop of fans of women’s football. Everything from podcast to fan art to watch parties to grassroots in all in one place. The idea came from a desire to create an app with accurate scores and schedules for the women’s game. While that concept is still a goal for Resurgam there is much more to being a fan of the women’s game than scores and schedules. My number one goal is to create something that is easy to navigate for new fans. If you have a brand/app/podcast/watch party you want included please reach out!
